"100% FAILURE OF THE 'HASSLE-FREE' RETURN POLICY," DUE TO US BEING IGNORED/DISMISSED My wife and I are "art lovers," and are grateful to be in a financial position to be able to purchase a piece of art if it effects us in some way. In other words, we are your target market! As such, we have an expectation that any artist/art producer we deal with will take the time to build a relationship with us with the sole goal of producing the best art possible that meets our needs. When we started our relationship with "Modern Textured," by purchasing "Calm Wave," on 9-1-26 (#MT610956), we were dealing with a representative named "Andy," who was very professional and patient and facilitated two corrections to our piece, which allowed us to approve the painting for shipping. On 10-5-26, DHL delivered our anticipated painting; upon opening the packaging, we were impressed with the textured strokes, but dissatisfied with the "green" hue of the wave, and felt it did not represent the light and dark blue colors of the wave that was represented in the photograph we approved. On 10-6-26, we wrote the below email, as well as, an abridged "Chat Message" that stated the following: J H To: ModernTextured · Tue, Oct 6 at 7:33 PM Message Body Hello Modern Textured Team, We received our "Calm Wave" painting (#MT610956) yesterday and when we opened the box we were "elated" because the textured strokes of your artist were amazing! In the same moment, however, we were "disheartened" because much of the wave, especially the dark colored part, was GREEN/TEAL. We reviewed the picture of the painting we approved and the wave "appeared" to go from "light blue to darker blue," not green/teal. We do realize that photographs do not always depict the true colors of an object, and that some actual waves have a green hue, but we want a light blue blended into daker blue wave depicted in our painting. We then re-read the emails we had previously sent, in which we requested the color "white" for the white water (that small streak of blue in the white water on the lefthand side looks good), "beige/tan" for the sand, and "light blue to darker blue" for the wave. We humbly and respectfully request that any light green, green, dark green/teal, or any "mixing/blending of the colors beige with green or blue" be covered over with 1) beige/tan for the sand (the sand portion can be slightly increased), and 2) light blue, blue, and dark blue for the wave. No green... The reason this is so important to us is because we just completed a (9) month remodel of our kitchen with different shades of blue, which symbolizes being inside a blue wave. We attached a photograph, in an effort to provide examples of the various shades of blue we would like. In the photograph, I am holding the "Calm Wave" painting next to the various shades of blue in our kitchen backsplash tiles. Previously, the artist was able to: 1) Add longer strokes to the wave, and 2) Add beige/tan color to represent the sand. We are hoping that your artist has just a little more patience to cover over ALL the different shades of green, with shades of light blue, blue, and dark blue, to make this painting amazing! We do not want to "Return" the painting for a refund; we just need it corrected and shipped back to us. Therefore, can you please provide us with your specific shipping instructions/address, and let us know if you have a preferred express courier company (e.g. FED EX, UPS, or DHL), so we can ship the painting back for correction. Feeling both ignored, and even worse dismissed, we took it upon ourselves to spend "additional money" to hire a local artist in the "hope" that she will be able to correct the painting, thus meeting our needs. Admittedly, as art lovers, we are emotional people, but this letter is meant to be constructive, in the hope that "Modern Textured" will improve their policies and protocols to be able to respond to correspondence in a timely fashion, thus making their return policy truly "hassle-free!"
